Fishing & Mental Health
4/29/2024
Happy Monday, family! I would like to start this blog off by saying that the past couple of days on the water have been really hard. The bite has been hard. The fish are just being so elusive. But the one thing I noticed about the days where you don't catch any fish or you only catch a couple of fish, are the different perspectives that you get and the different things that you notice. And what I mean by that is, say the water level is down by 3 feet on the river. You see these huge trees and these roots that are all exposed and while these roots are small and vulnerable, they're still strong enough to hold up that tree, on that side! I've noticed that on both rivers. Today the river we were on was flowing very smoothly in places, placid in some places, but overall today was a very relaxing day on very beautiful river. As a matter of fact, I would go as far as to say that it's one of the most beautiful rivers I've ever seen where we were at. And we anchored up when it was flowing a little faster, but the video I have of it is so peaceful if you just close your eyes and listen to the water flowing and take in the beautiful greenery around you, the trees, the wildlife, everything. So, a lot of times it's not always about fishing and catching, it's about finding different perspectives of peace in this life. I hope that you've all had a wonderful weekend and I look forward to your comments on the blog and let me know if there's anything that you would like for me to talk about. God bless you all! Tight lines always and forever!
